He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of occult matters, but is noted as being rather disturbed and eccentric.

An occult investigator of some notoriety amongst the community over his methods who was killed in 1921 on an expedition in Greenland. He was regarded as a authoritative source on the more sinister aspects of the Mythos due to his wide reading, but this degree of knowledge had also led other investigators to question his motives and sanity.
